What is the chemical composition of BSN supplements Syntha 6 and Nitrix?

BSN Supplements is one of the most well-known manufacturer of fitness and bodybuilding supplements. The most popular products are: Syntha 6, Nitrix, Cellmass, No-Xplode, True mass. In this article I describe the chemical composition of two first of them: Syntha 6 and Nitrix.

Syntha 6

Syntha 6 is a lean muscle protein powder comprised of mix proteins and amino acids. Its main ingredients come from milk and soy: whey protein, whey protein isolate, calcium caseinate casein, micellar casein, natural and artificial flavors. The rest consists of: egg albumen, glutamine peptides, sunflower powder, sunflower oil, corn syrup solids, sodium caseinate, monoglycerides, diglycerides, papain, bromelain and some other. You can find a full list on the manufacturer website.

Nitrix

Nitrix is a vasco-muscular volumizer in the form of tablets. Its main ingredient is folic acid. Besides that Nitrix contains: arginine, cittrulline, hydroxypropyl, creatine, alanine, sodium creatine, phosphoplexx, phosphates, nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, and some other ingredients from a chemical dictionary.

In one sense Syntha 6 is a more “natural” supplement. Simply looking at the ingredients we can see more recognizable names like: milk, soy, sunflower, protein, calcium, whey etc. Nitrix is one level deeper. More advanced technology, higher risk. If we read the manufacturer information carefully we will see that the daily nutritional value for humans, within almost all of the Nitrix ingredients, hasn’t ever been established. What’s more, two important ingredients called AVPT (creatine ethyl ester-beta-alanine composite, sodium creatine phosphate matrix, creatinol-o-phosphate-malic acid interfusion, creatine AAB) and CRTS2 (micro-polymer hydrophilic matrix) haven’t ever been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. I want to be clear about this point: it doesn’t mean that they’re dangerous. It means that using them you will be performing an  experiment on your own body. Only out of curiosity I researched what Wikipedia had to say about: “Ester-beta-alanine” or “micro-polymer” and it netted zero results. I stress once more: it doesn’t mean that these compounds are dangerous. It means that our knowledge about them is very low.
